I assembled everything for breakfast sandwiches, cracked the egg into the top cooker portion designated for eggs and it slipped right thru onto the counter. Since I had two sandwiches started I cracked an egg into the other side it held beautifully. Made the first sandwich without egg. After the machine had cooled and I could examine it, I could see that there is a slight gap between the round holder and the slide portion that holds the egg in place. I compared it to the other side and that side is flush with the egg slide. I gave it a one star because it makes me mad that I have to go thru the effort of returning it and the disappointment of only one side working. I was so pleased with the side that worked, the ease of use and the easy clean up of the machine that had both sides worked I would have given it a 5-star rating.”
